Sustainable Fuels Take Centre Stage in DHL’s Net-Zero Push
DHL Group is doubling down on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to decarbonise its airfreight operations, striking a major deal with Neste to secure 300,000 tons of unblended SAF annually by 2030. The partnership will also explore Neste’s renewable diesel (HVO100) to cut emissions in DHL’s road transport fleet.
With a 2050 net-zero target and aggressive 2030 milestones—including electrifying two-thirds of last-mile vehicles and pushing sustainable fuel use beyond 30%—DHL is making bold moves. This collaboration builds on existing SAF projects and innovative carbon credit systems, reinforcing DHL’s leadership in green logistics.
