Driver of the Year

Our judging panel is drawn from across the public, academic, and private sectors. Judges are selected for their industry knowledge, expertise, and integrity. This award recognises a professional driver who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism, and excellence in the performance of their role over the past 12 months. Open to drivers operating across all transport sectors, including freight, distribution, passenger transport, specialist logistics, and temperature-controlled transport, the award celebrates individuals who consistently go above and beyond in delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused service. They can be nominated by themselves or by a third party, but please ensure you have the nominee's permission before submitting. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission (11pt font size minimum); the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts, supporting materials and statistics, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

• Career Summary: Please include a summary that describes the nominee's career to date, including their role and length of service.
• Professionalism & Performance: Outline how the nominee has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and excellence in the performance of their role.
• Safety Record: Provide details of the nominee's safety record and commitment to safe driving practices.
• Customer Service: Describe how the nominee has delivered excellent customer-focused service, including any feedback received.
• Notable Achievement or Contribution: Highlight a specific achievement, incident, or contribution from the past 12 months that demonstrates why this individual stands out.
• Supporting Statements & Testimonials: Include any other statements or facts that support the entry, and a testimonial from the nominee's employer, manager, or a customer where possible.
