Disability Awareness & Strategy Award Our judging panel is drawn from across the public, academic, and private sectors. Judges are selected for their industry knowledge, expertise, and integrity. This award recognises the logistics or transport operator of any kind in Ireland that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to disability awareness, accessibility and inclusion through a clear organisational strategy over the last 12 months. The award is open to organisations across freight, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, passenger transport and related services. Judges will recognise organisations that have moved beyond compliance to embed disability awareness into their culture, operations and long-term planning. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission (11pt font size minimum); the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts, supporting materials and statistics, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisation Information: Please outline your organisation's background, history in the sector, as well as key workforce data including demographics, growth and internal operational structure.
- Disability Awareness Strategy: Please describe your organisation's disability awareness and inclusion strategy. Outline the objectives, leadership commitment and how disability awareness has been incorporated into your business planning and culture.
- Training, Education & Awareness: Outline the disability awareness initiatives undertaken during the past 12 months. Include details of staff training, awareness programmes, partnerships with specialist organisations and how knowledge has been embedded across the workforce.
- Accessibility & Inclusive Employment: Describe the practical measures implemented to improve accessibility for customers, employees and job applicants. Include recruitment initiatives, workplace adaptations, infrastructure improvements and policies that support people with disabilities.
- Future Development & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate your organisation's commitment to continuous improvement by outlining future plans, measurable objectives and how success is monitored and evaluated over time.
- Supporting Statements & Evidence: In support of the above criteria please include within or as a hyperlink any additional statements, performance measures, testimonials, employee feedback, customer feedback, case studies or independent evidence that demonstrates the impact of your disability awareness and inclusion programme.
