syncreon Ireland: 2015 award winners
Mar 29, 2017
syncreon won Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence Award and Transport Company of the Year at the Irish Transport and Logistics Awards 2015.
Owen Travers, AIB Corporate, presents the Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence Award to Alan Murnane, syncreon Ireland.
syncreon is a specialised provider of integrated logistics services to global industries. It employs over 12,000 people worldwide, including 180 people in Ireland. In 2014, it became the first Irish company in Ireland to secure the TAP, a TSR certification, while simultaneously achieving the 14001: 2004 certification.
The judges said that the commitment, management engagement and team work required to achieve the internationally accredited TAPA TSR 2014 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications in just one year had to be substantial.
The results have seen an improvement to business operations, enhanced service to syncreon’s customers and also development of all the staff who worked on the process. This led to them also winning Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence Award & Transport Company of the Year.
Bridget Canavan, CustomsMatters, presents the Transport Company of the Year Award to Alan Murnane, syncreon Ireland.
Alan Murnane, Commercial Director, Syncreon, talks about the value of winning the awards:
A huge amount of work was required to achieve both ISO14001 and TSR certification. Winning in 2 awards at the Irish Transport and Logistics awards was confirmation our strategy is going in the right direction.
The awards are also a great opportunity to find out what other companies are working in order to see if this is something that may benefit our business.
We rarely get the opportunity to meet our peers in a relaxed environment so having this opportunity at the Irish Logistics and Transports Awards, benefits the industry, especially our customers.
I would recommend that companies get involved and enter the awards. The ceremony itself was very well organised and a very entertaining and enjoyable evening. The host did very well in keeping the guests entertained.
