Saudi Arabia’s start-up carrier Riyadh Air has appointed FlyUs Aviation Group as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for the UK and Ireland, effective 26 October 2025, in a move that strengthens trade and logistics ties between Europe and the Gulf.
The partnership aligns with Riyadh Air’s launch of daily Boeing 787-9 flights into London Heathrow Airport, marking a major milestone for the airline as it begins to establish its international cargo network. FlyUs will oversee sales, customer support, and capacity management, providing a direct gateway for exporters, forwarders, and logistics operators in the UK and Ireland to access Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding market.
FlyUs president and CEO Carlo de Haas said it is “a privilege” to partner with a new airline starting daily widebody operations at Heathrow, noting that the appointment underscores FlyUs’s strong track record in cargo representation. The group operates its own temperature-controlled trucking fleet, offering daily services between Benelux and the UK, ensuring integrated logistics solutions for clients using Riyadh Air’s new route.
Riyadh Air’s head of cargo Pravin Singh said the partnership represents “shared ambition and operational excellence,” reflecting Riyadh Air’s commitment to dependable, customer-focused cargo solutions across its network.
The carrier is central to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform Riyadh into a global trade and transport hub connected to 100 destinations by the end of the decade. With this strategic appointment, Riyadh Air positions itself as a new competitor in high-value, perishable, and e-commerce logistics, offering increased capacity and connectivity between Europe and the Middle East.
