Philip Tracey, Chief Executive Officer of Ace Express Freight, has joined the judging panel for the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2027, bringing more than three decades of experience in freight, customs clearance, logistics management and international business development to the evaluation of Ireland's leading logistics and transport organisations.

Tracey established Ace Express Freight in 1989 after beginning his career in the industry as a customs clearance clerk. From its origins as a modest Dublin-based operation, he has led the company through sustained growth into a multinational logistics provider serving customers across global markets.

His career provides a perspective that spans both the operational and strategic dimensions of logistics. Having started within customs clearance before founding and leading his own freight business, Tracey has developed extensive experience across freight forwarding, transport operations, international logistics and the management of a growing logistics enterprise.

Innovation and continuous improvement have remained important elements of his approach to the company's development. Under his leadership, Ace Express Freight has received numerous industry accolades, including multiple Deloitte Best Managed Company awards and recognition through the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards.

Tracey's appointment adds senior industry leadership and direct operational experience to the 2027 judging panel. His background as the founder and CEO of a multinational logistics provider offers insight into the commercial, operational and service considerations facing companies across Ireland's increasingly international logistics and transport sector.

The Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2027 will bring together professionals and organisations from across freight, transport, supply chain, warehousing and related areas, with the judging panel evaluating entries across 33 categories.

Tracey will serve alongside Judging Coordinator Declan Allen, Head of Logistics, Supply Chain and Project Management at Technological University Dublin, and fellow judges including Seamus Kavanagh of the Irish International Freight Association, Maurice Brady of TU Dublin and Michael O'Callaghan of IPICS.

The awards gala will take place on 4 March 2027 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, with entries closing on 16 October 2026.
