European freight network Palletways has renewed its partnership with Dublin-based Transland Group for another ten years, reinforcing one of the longest-standing collaborations in UK-Ireland logistics.
The alliance, which began in 2008, highlights both firms’ shared focus on service excellence, operational innovation and sustainable freight solutions. To mark the renewal, Transland has introduced two new dual-branded trailers, one standard double deck and one bespoke split double deck, optimised for mixed pallet loads across cross-border routes.
Founded in 1993, Transland has evolved from a print transport business into a leading palletised freight operator and a key international member of the Palletways network. The company has earned multiple Palletways Platinum Awards and was named Best Performing International Member 2023, recognising its consistent service performance and reliability.
Sustainability remains central to Transland’s operations, with ongoing investments in height-compliant double deck trailers, EV and hybrid vehicles, on-site charging infrastructure and plans to integrate solar energy at its depot. These initiatives align closely with Palletways’ broader ambition to decarbonise logistics while maintaining network efficiency across Europe.
Rob Gittins, Managing Director UK at Palletways, described the partnership renewal as “a clear demonstration of shared values and long-term commitment to quality and innovation.” Transland Group Managing Director Kieran Conlon added that the agreement “represents ambition, innovation and raising the bar for palletised freight.”
