Japan-based global logistics group NX Group has expanded its UK and Ireland operations to integrate furniture delivery subsidiary NX Lifestyle Logistics and specialist logistics firm Simon Hegele Group, broadening its service offering across the high-tech, lifestyle and healthcare sectors.

According to Motor Transport, NX UK has also adapted its services to support customers through global supply chain disruptions, utilising multimodal transport options to diversify risk and secure alternative routing across its international network.

The group's UK and Ireland expansion forms part of a broader period of development for NX Group, which is also targeting a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from 2020 levels by 2030. The sustainability commitment reflects growing pressure on international logistics operators to demonstrate measurable progress on decarbonisation across their owned and contracted transport fleets.

NX Group presented its UK and Ireland developments at the Multimodal exhibition in Birmingham, using the event to showcase network growth, sector diversification and its environmental targets to existing and prospective partners across the logistics industry.

Its end-to-end services include advanced warehousing, customs support and specialised solutions for high-tech, temperature-sensitive and pharmaceutical goods, underpinning the group's commitment to delivering reliable and innovative logistics across the Irish market under its motto, "We Find the Way."

The Irish operation's breadth of capability positions NX Group as a significant player in the Irish logistics sector, with multimodal connectivity and specialist sector expertise central to its value proposition for domestic and internationally trading businesses alike.
