MGN Logistics, a US-based transportation management, logistics, and technology provider, has expanded its freight management business with the acquisition of Fast Service, an asset-based expedited logistics brokerage. The deal, announced on January 5, is the company’s ninth self-funded acquisition and marks a strategic milestone in its growth plan.

Fast Service brings more than 80 dedicated drivers, a specialised expedited cargo van network, and access to a private, vetted network of full truckload providers. By integrating these assets into MGN’s proprietary MyMGN Marketplace, the company aims to enhance operational control, accelerate service delivery, and strengthen its market position across US freight lanes.

“This acquisition is about control, speed and scale,” said MGN CEO Matthew Telesca. “We’re pairing real assets with AI-driven decisioning to build a freight platform that performs when the market is stressed and wins when it’s growing.”

The deal allows MGN to embed asset-based expedited capacity directly into its technology platform, supporting advanced AI initiatives designed to optimise route planning, carrier selection, and real-time load management. By combining physical assets with AI-driven logistics decision-making, MGN aims to provide shippers with faster, more reliable, and scalable solutions for time-sensitive cargo.

Fast Service’s network of vans and drivers also complements MGN’s existing freight management operations, providing additional capacity for peak periods and high-priority shipments. The acquisition enhances service flexibility and reduces dependence on third-party carriers, allowing MGN to deliver consistent, high-quality performance across domestic freight lanes.

MGN has pursued a disciplined, self-funded acquisition strategy to expand its freight management footprint while driving technology adoption. Fast Service is expected to accelerate adoption of the MyMGN Marketplace platform by offering customers enhanced visibility, integrated tracking, and AI-enabled routing for expedited shipments.

With this acquisition, MGN Logistics positions itself at the intersection of asset-based operations and AI-driven freight management, delivering speed, scale, and reliability for shippers across the United States.
