Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Cargo has launched the Etihad Cargo Excellence Hub, described as the air cargo industry's first logistics training academy established by an airline, designed to raise operational, safety and compliance standards across its global partner network and the wider air cargo profession.
According to Aviation Business News, the platform is open to Etihad Cargo representatives, partners, customers and air cargo professionals worldwide, offering a structured curriculum covering operational standards, products and services, safety and compliance, alongside industry-certified programmes developed in partnership with accredited institutions. University students are also offered complimentary access.
Stanislas Brun, chief cargo officer at Etihad Airways, said: "As the first logistics training academy established by an airline, it represents a significant step forward in how we approach knowledge, capability, and service quality across our global network. By bringing together operational expertise, industry knowledge, and accredited learning pathways in one platform, the Excellence Hub will help raise capability standards across the global air cargo ecosystem."
Dr Nadia Al Bastaki, chief people and corporate affairs officer at Etihad Airways, said: "Etihad is committed to investing in people, and the Etihad Cargo Excellence Hub is a testament to this commitment. By providing accessible learning opportunities and a platform for knowledge sharing, Etihad Cargo aims to enhance the capabilities of those entering and advancing within the air cargo industry."
Training is delivered through foundation courses, podcasts, masterclasses and executive education programmes, including a miniMBA. Participants receive accredited certifications on completion of each learning pathway, with gamification features including leaderboards and LinkedIn badges designed to encourage sustained engagement across the platform.
The Excellence Hub also incorporates AI-enabled learning to provide personalised feedback and performance analytics, while its mobile-first design enables users to access training from any location globally. The combination of accredited certification, executive education and AI-powered personalisation positions the platform as a comprehensive professional development tool for the air cargo sector at an international level.
For the global logistics industry, the launch reflects growing recognition among major carriers that workforce capability and consistent operational standards across partner networks are as critical to service quality as physical infrastructure and fleet investment.
