Davies Turner, a leading independent freight forwarding and logistics company, has expanded its fleet of Krone hanging garment mega trailers to meet rising demand across UK, Ireland, and Morocco trade lanes. The expansion raises the number of trailers dedicated to Moroccan services to 35, supporting fashion, retail, and automotive sectors.
The new trailers, supplied by Krone, feature steel walls, roofs, and doors for superior protection against break-ins and stowaways. All units are equipped with GPS satellite tracking and remote door monitoring systems, allowing real-time visibility and security across the transport process.
“The expanded fleet will support daily full load trailer services and groupage options running Thursday to Saturday for both imports and exports,” the company said.
Davies Turner has observed a revival in the UK-Morocco fashion trade alongside increasing volumes in automotive components, particularly electric vehicle production. Standard transit times range from four to five days between Morocco and the UK/Ireland, with express services reducing transit by 24 hours and van transport taking as little as 72 hours.
The company’s long-standing North African presence includes cooperation with DTCO MAROC and a dedicated delegate in Tangier. This enables efficient navigation of complex customs procedures and smooth clearance through partnerships with clients’ customs brokers.
In Morocco, Davies Turner oversees specialist load management, including garment, carton, and commodity handling across factories, ports, and free zones, as well as deliveries in Tangier, Rabat/Sale, and Casablanca.
In Ireland, the company provides critical services to the aerospace and automotive sectors, leveraging a just-in-time logistics model for both round-trip and one-way transport. Air cargo and sea freight operations have also grown, supporting imports from the Far East, Europe, and Türkiye, and exports to the USA and Western Europe.
