Circle Logistics, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been approved as a Responsible Care Partner by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), reinforcing its dedication to chemical supply-chain safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship.
The recognition aligns the company with ACC’s rigorous standards for continuous performance improvement across environment, health and safety (EHS), security, product stewardship, and operational excellence.
Additionally, Circle Logistics has committed to the global Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) program, which seeks to prevent resin and chemical loss to the environment and promote responsible logistics practices.
“Being accepted into the ACC Responsible Care Partner program is a significant step for our company and our customers,” said Robert Fortmeyer, general counsel at Circle Logistics. “At Circle Logistics, we view ourselves as expert partners in the safe and efficient transport of chemicals, and this recognition underscores our commitment to reliability, compliance and sustainability across the supply-chain.”
The partnership supports Circle Logistics’ capacity to meet complex industry demands, including specialised equipment handling, hazardous material transport, cross-border operations, and risk mitigation.
Through the Operation Clean Sweep programme, Circle actively works to prevent plastic resin or chemical releases during transport, reinforcing a zero-loss approach. The collaboration with the ACC establishes a benchmark for sustainable and safe practices in chemical logistics.
Founded in 2011, Circle Logistics manages over $700 million (€604 million) in freight spend annually, offering multi-modal transport across the continental United States and Mexico. The firm combines privately owned 3PL capabilities with large-scale provider coverage, servicing Dry Van, Flatbed, Reefer, LTL, Expedite, Oversize, and Air shipments.
The ACC advocates for policies and practices that advance safe and sustainable chemical production in the US, promoting continuous improvement, environmental protection, and responsible communication with communities.
