Arriva is strengthening its European presence with a new seven-year, £12.7m contract in Croatia’s Lika-Senj region. The deal adds 600,000 annual kilometres to its operations, deploying 21 buses and 32 drivers, including 10 new hires. With over four decades of experience in Croatia, the Sunderland-based transport giant is leveraging its scale and local roots to grow strategic market share.

As one of Europe’s largest mobility operators, Arriva’s network already spans 11 countries with a portfolio that includes trains, buses, trams, and on-demand solutions. This latest move signals its commitment to regional growth and long-term investment in public service contracts.
