Accenture has acquired Sagacity, a London-based data and customer intelligence firm, adding more than 140 specialists to Accenture Song’s UK and Ireland operations. The deal gives the Dublin-headquartered consultancy proprietary customer data assets and AI-enabled technology to help clients in utilities, retail, banking and telecommunications improve service, loyalty and growth.
Founded in 2005 by Anita Dougall, Malka Townshend and Harry Dougall, Sagacity combines proprietary data assets, AI-enabled technology and customer intelligence expertise. Sagacity Solutions Ltd reported turnover of £21.6 million, and private equity firm QPE invested alongside the founders in 2021.
The structural driver is client demand to connect data, AI and operations infrastructure into unified, outcome-focused programmes, particularly in industries with large customer bases and complex customer journeys. Accenture said the deal reflects its strategy of using acquisitions to scale in high-growth areas and deepen industry-specific capabilities.
“Our clients are increasingly looking to connect data, AI and operations to drive growth and reinvent customer experiences,” said Sohel Aziz, senior managing director, Accenture Song, UK and Ireland. “Sagacity’s deep expertise and outcome-focused approach will enhance our ability to help clients turn insight into action and achieve measurable results through intelligent customer operations.”
The 140-plus professionals expand Accenture Song’s delivery capability across strategy, design, implementation and operations, helping clients move from customer insight to intelligent action faster and at greater scale than either organisation could manage independently.
“By combining our expertise, data and know-how with Accenture’s scale and innovation capabilities, we can help more organizations deliver meaningful business results,” said Anita Dougall, CEO and co-founder of Sagacity.
Accenture plc is headquartered in Dublin and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ACN, reporting revenue of US$74.18 billion (approximately €62.3 billion) and GAAP operating income of US$11.41 billion (approximately €9.6 billion) in its FY2026 results.
For the sector, the acquisition reflects consultancies buying customer data and AI capability to turn insight into operational action as clients seek measurable results from customer experience programmes.
